Cello Orchestra Program
Our renowned cello orchestra summer camp, now happening year round.
4 rehearsals and concert
October 26th 2:00 pm-4:30 pm
November 23rd 2:00 pm-4:30 pm
December 14th 2:00-4:30 pm
January 18th 1:30-4:30 pm
Music must be practiced in advance

No violins allowed

Our fall programs allow students of all ages and skill levels to come together and make music.
Cello Orchestra Program
A giant cello orchestra, with parts created for students at any skill level. One rehearsal a month to make it manageable for a student with lots of passions.
Cello Ensemble
Smaller groups of students come together with one of our cello mentors to rehearse and perform at a concert.

Mentors
A Long Beach native, Dr. Daniel Smith performs regularly around Long Beach, often with the Long Beach Symphony, often as a soloist. He teaches individual students, many of whom regularly win spots in the All District, All Southern, and All State Orchestras. He also teaches in LBUSD schools regularly, sharing his joy of cello and music to as many students as possible.
Diana has been teaching for 30 years, and is considered a local legend. She currently has a roster of over 30 students, many of whom regularly win spots in the All District, All Southern, and All State Orchestras. She has a Master's Degree from Rice University, and has received the highest level of certification in the Suzuki Pedagogy Method, a fantastic method for teaching students to play cello in a fun and inviting way.
Josie Boyer has been teaching cello for the past 18 years, and ensures all of her students become well rounded individuals as well as well rounded cellists. She attended Cal State Long Beach and Roosevelt University in Chicago, where she received her Bachelor's and Master's Degree respectively. She enjoys teaching students of all ages, from 5 to 90!
